Marine Planning
With pollution, climate change and an increasing human population, there may not always be more fish in the sea....
We offer planning support for those writing and contributing to marine plans, from Governments through to local community groups and the aquaculture industry, with an emphasis on sustainable and balanced use and conservation of the marine environment. We also offer an aquaculture licence application and appeal service with an excellent track record. We can also provide support in cases of Judicial Review. |
Heritage, Archaeology, Landscape and Biodiversity
With academic qualifications, hands-on dedicated training courses by SPAB and others and experience in a Local Authority Heritage Team, we have the knowledge to advise on everything from historic building repair, extensions and adaptations to archaeology affecting a development proposal.
We have a deep respect for the past, yet understand that change and adaptation is inevitable, and heritage needs to be managed postitively to ensure the best outcomes for everyone. In practice this usually means retaining as much historic fabric as possible, yet being open to new uses and technology where appropriate as well as the challenges posed by decay and climate change.
