The presence of heritage, whether archaeology, Protected Structures, Conservation Areas or simply vernacular architecture, need not be an obstacle to your plans - providing you have the necessary expertise.
Our conservation specialist has an academic background in architecture and archaeology and served as a local authority Conservation Officer for several years, where he was jointly responsible for 24,000 Listed Buildings and over 200 Conservation Areas. He reported to the County Archaeologist and Conservation Architect, attending SPAB training courses, drafting local plan policy and conducting numerous appriasals. He was accepted as a member of IHBC (membership currently being renewed).
Appraisals and Reports
Specialist heritage reports can often be required at the time of an application or as a request for additonal information, sometimes unexpectedly. Planning and Design Statements, in which we specialise, can also need considerable heritage experience in sensitive, historic locations.
We can supply an Assessment, Appraisal or Impact Statement in accordance with the 2011 Architectural Heritage Protection Guidelines rapidly, discussing issues directly with the Council's Conservation Officer, carrying out research and obtaining the necessary historical maps and other data, ensuring a better overall design and helping your project leap one more hurdle with minimal cost and disruption to schedule.....
